So nice to wake up to...

I woke up this morning and checked my email (as I always do right away) and was so humbled by the following message I received from a new visitor to my website:

"Message: I just wanted to say how beautiful your work is. I'm an amateur photographer and came across your site while trying to get some ideas on photographing people...I am in awe over your artistry. People are, by far, the most difficult subjects and you photograph them so well, bringing out your subject's individuality. This combined with your seemingly boundless creativity in composition, colour, and settings resulted in a most enjoyable visit to your site. Thanks for the inspiration, Chris"

Wow, how nice is that?

I've received more than a few messages like this from complete strangers but felt compelled to post this one.

It's so fulfilling and inspiring to ME to please my clients and hear kind words from them and friends and family alike, but to hear such beautiful things from someone who just happened upon my work? It's amazing to me and a little hard to believe sometimes that I'm "an inspiration" to at least a handful of people out there. I have a hard time patting myself on the back sometimes and am always striving to do better but after hearing such nice things over and over again, my confidence in what I do has really come a long way and has allowed me to explore my passion even further.

So to Chris and everyone else who has ever sang my praises, thank you for reminding me all the time how blessed I am to do something I love so much, while inspiring and pleasing you all :)

And since Christmas is almost upon us and I may not get time to blog again before the big day, Happy Holidays to each and everyone who reads this blog and who I've had the pleasure of working for/with over the past year and beyond. May you have a wonderful, peaceful time with family, friends and loved one's in the next few weeks and in the years to come!

Elizabeth & Joel

On a cold but beautiful, perfect, snow kissed morning, my assistant Traci and I captured Elizabeth and Joel's dedication to each other at their ceremony at the Old Mill in Ancaster. Here's a few shots from their big day:

From Belly to Baby

She's here!
Mama Becci and family came to me a couple months ago to capture her baby belly and growing family.
I went to the Magistrale household this morning to capture baby Ava's first days at home and I feel blessed to have been allowed to share in this special time in their lives.

The Holidays and Family...

It's always been very important to me in my photography to capture the love and togetherness of families. Those emotions become even more apparent when shooting around the holidays...here's a few shots from this past weekend's photo shoots in the studio:

Liam & Mom

So I've shot for Liam & his mom Sarah a few times now and Liam gets cuter and cuter everytime I see him! One really cool part of this job is seeing some of "my kids" grow up and Liam is one of them :)
His beautiful Mom and faithful client Sarah joined in the fun today and we grabbed some great shots and moments between the 2 of them:

The holidays are creeping....

Hard to believe that the Christmas season is nearly upon us once again. It was pretty appropriate that we got our first major snowfall today on the same day that I begun shooting this years holiday photos. Here's some snaps of Braiden and Sierra who are my little cousins whom I've photographed many times before:

Belinda & Dan

Note to self and other fellow photogs: always make sure the bride to be has a ring that fits pretty tightly around her ring finger BEFORE you ask her and her fiance to have a leaf throwing fight......
otherwise, you end up on your hands and knees for nearly 4 hours looking for this:

Yes, the engagement ring went flying off Belinda's finger during a playful leaf fight with hubby to be Dan and that began a 4 hours search which THANKFULLY ended with Dan finding the ring amongst the bazillion leaves all over the ground!

We did manage to get a few great pics in before the (almost) tragedy:

And this was taken just before the ring went missing:

I am so grateful for a happy ending to this one!!!!
